Welcome to Servals ("we," "us," or "our"). Servals is an iOS application (the "App") that functions as a client to interact with your self-hosted or locally accessible Ollama server ("Your Ollama Instance"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in relation to the App.

Our core principle is privacy-first. The App is designed to operate without requiring user registration and without collecting or transmitting any of your personal data or conversation history to us or any third parties.

Information We Do Not Collect

Servals does NOT collect, store, transmit, or have access to any of the following information:

  • Personal Identifiable Information (PII): We do not require you to create an account or provide any PII (such as name, email address, phone number, etc.) to use the App.
  • Conversation Data: Any prompts you send or responses you receive through the App are transmitted directly between the App on your device and Your Ollama Instance. This data is not seen, stored, or logged by us. The storage and management of this data are solely within your control on Your Ollama Instance and your device.
  • Usage Analytics: We do not use any third-party analytics services to track your interaction with the App. We do not collect data about how you use the App, features you use, or session lengths.
  • Device Information: While the App runs on your iOS device, we do not collect or transmit device-specific information (like device model, operating system version, or unique device identifiers) to our servers.
  • IP Address: Your IP address is used for communication between the App and Your Ollama Instance as configured by you. We do not log or store this IP address.

How Your Data is Handled

All data processing related to your large language model (LLM) interactions occurs locally on your device and/or Your Ollama Instance. The App acts as an interface, securely transmitting your inputs to Your Ollama Instance and displaying the outputs received from it.

You are responsible for the privacy and security practices of Your Ollama Instance, including how it logs, stores, or processes data.

Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate with any third-party services that would result in sharing your data with them, other than the direct connection to Your Ollama Instance as configured by you.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to individuals under the age of 13 (or the relevant age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.
